{"id":2338,"date":"2023-08-16T09:29:24","date_gmt":"2023-08-16T00:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.himeyuri.or.jp\/?page_id=2338"},"modified":"2023-08-22T11:40:53","modified_gmt":"2023-08-22T02:40:53","slug":"donate-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.himeyuri.or.jp\/en\/donate-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Request for donations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Himeyuri Peace Museum is a private museum set up and run by <a>the Himeyuri Peace Foundation<\/a>, which is the parent organization of the Himeyuri Alumnae Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the museum opened in 1989 it <a>has served<\/a> as a hub for peace education in Okinawa by conveying the tragedies of war, the importance of peace, and the preciousness of life through the experiences of the Himeyuri Student Corps in the Battle of Okinawa, and it has welcomed many visitors from Japan and abroad. The museum does not receive any public funding and is supported by admission fees and by your generous donations.
