The Himeyuri Peace Museum is a private museum set up and run by the Himeyuri Peace Foundation, which is the parent organization of the Himeyuri Alumnae Association.

Since the museum opened in 1989 it has served as a hub for peace education in Okinawa by conveying the tragedies of war, the importance of peace, and the preciousness of life through the experiences of the Himeyuri Student Corps in the Battle of Okinawa, and it has welcomed many visitors from Japan and abroad. The museum does not receive any public funding and is supported by admission fees and by your generous donations. We sincerely request your support to further enhance our efforts to convey the wartime experiences of the Battle of Okinawa and the Himeyuri Student Corps, and to tell these stories to the next generation.
