About the Himeyuri Peace Museum

The Himeyuri Peace Museum was founded on June 23, 1989 by the Himeyuri Alumnae Association to convey wartime experiences during the Battle of Okinawa and the importance of peace. Through museum exhibits such as video testimonies, pictures from the war period and full-scale diorama of the cave, the museum showcases authentic images of the Battle of Okinawa from the perspective of the Himeyuri Student Corps.
